New England Patriots “welcomed” the New York Jets to Foxborough on Sunday in their first match-up since “Spygate”. Freezing rain and wind hampered the Patriots passing game as Tom Brady threw for only 140 yards. Brady had no touchdowns in week 15, a first for him in 2007. Even with the passing game grounded, the Patriots found a way to win thanks to Laurence Maroney who ran for 104 yards and 1 TD. With the win, the Patriots improved to 14-0 and became only the second team in NFL history to do so (1972 Miami Dolphins).
The Patriots have clinched homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.
Next up: Week 16 vs. Miami Dolphins
Tom Brady Record watch: 45 TD (5 TD from breaking Peyton Manning’s record of 49 TD in a season)

The New England Patriots welcomed the Pittsburgh Steelers to Foxborough for week 14. The Patriots entered the game with a 12-0 record, although they have squeaked by the past two weeks. The Steelers marched into town with the NFL’s best defense….all signs pointed to a close game.
The Patriots rolled past the Steelers 34-13 on Sunday. Tom Brady threw 4 touchdowns, two to Randy Moss. With the win the Pats improved to 13-0, clinched a first round playoff bye and moved one step closer to an undefeated season.
Next up: New York Jets (3-10), December 16, 1:00PM
Tom Brady record watch: 45 TD. He only needs 4 more TD’s to tie Peyton Manning’s single season mark of 49. He will have 3 games to move into sole possession of the single season touchdown mark (remaining games: Jets, Dolphins, Giants)
